Grace is a support service designed to help people navigate the overwhelming administrative tasks that arise after the loss of a loved one. From canceling subscriptions to handling essential notifications, Grace aims to bring clarity, guidance, and emotional ease during an incredibly difficult time. For this project, I created a set of five header illustrations and eight spot illustrations that visually communicate Grace’s compassionate approach and make the process feel more accessible and human. A key requirement was to incorporate the signature shape from their logo, ensuring visual consistency across the entire identity.

My Role

• Collaborated closely with the Grace team to understand the emotional tone and functional needs of the service.

• Developed a visual direction that balanced sensitivity with clarity — ensuring every drawing conveyed support without overwhelming users.

• Integrated the distinctive shape from Grace’s logo into the illustration system, using it as a recurring design element to strengthen brand cohesion.

• Created five header illustrations that anchor key sections of the service, each designed to provide warmth and reassurance while keeping the focus on guidance.

• Delivered sketches, refinements, and final artwork, ensuring all illustrations aligned with Grace’s mission of easing the burden for people facing loss.

• Helped shape the visual narrative across the platform so that users feel gently supported from the moment they begin the process.
   

Outcome

The final illustration set brings calm, clarity, and humanity to Grace’s service. By combining informative visuals with a compassionate tone, and weaving the logo’s shape throughout the artwork, the result feels both emotionally supportive and distinctly on-brand. The illustrations help users feel guided rather than overwhelmed, supporting the platform’s goal of making post-bereavement arrangements less stressful and easier to navigate.
